A full-house on a HKIPD Seminar on Mediation of IP Disputes

It was a heartwarming moment to witness a full-house turn-out at a seminar organized by the Hong Kong IP Department on 12 October 2023 on Mediation of IP Disputes. Our Anthony Tong delivered the same seminar in August 2021 in a studio at a time when Covid was still rampant.

There were more than 100 attendees attending in person and the audience were very engaging with numerous exchanges during the Q&A session. This seminar is part of the IP Manager Scheme PLUS training programme intended to enhance the participants’ understanding of using mediation in resolving IP related disputes.

Anthony also advocated the benefits in conducting evaluative mediation as opposed to facilitative mediation given the often technical issues involved in intellectual property related disputes.
